Migration · VIP
Legacy Django to WordPress VIP
A membership platform moved off a custom Django application. The content model came across first, then billing in more than one currency, then the launch, and a plan for the weeks after it when the edge cases show up.
Front-end lead
A reusable front-end foundation
One monorepo for theme front-ends: component-based rendering, Tailwind, webpack, and the conventions that stop every project reinventing its own build.
Open source
The WordPress starter stack
Co-built a theme starter and a plugin starter on a shared PHP framework, open-sourced in October 2026. Previously a fix in a starter only helped the next project. Now a fix in the framework reaches projects that are already running. theme-elementary · plugin-elementary
Internationalisation
WPML at platform scale
A whole platform converted to WPML: a content pipeline, automated translation workflows, and a custom block parser for the content that translation tools could not read on their own.
LMS
An LMS go-live
Owned the launch, the completion and reminder email systems, and the tooling to recover course progress that had gone missing for real learners.
Performance
Core Web Vitals on high-traffic sites
CSS bundling, font and ad-script tuning, deferred rendering, and a CDN that serves theme assets and images from their own subdomain.
